Why are hip openers important?

Hip openers are great for releasing tension within the body, built up emotion and stagnant energy. Opening the hips allows for more range of motion, creating more circulation throughout the body and so much more. Overdeveloped and tight hip flexors can be caused by stress, sitting at a desk day to day or simply driving in the car, this can also contribute to lower back pain. Hip openers really give us freedom within the entire body to move, feel and think healthier and clearer.

Who is this workshop for?

This work shop is great for anyone looking to make space and create more movement, mobility, and flexibility within the body,  from athletes to office workers, whether you’re looking to gain more flexibility, release tension with in the hips and back, dive deeper into your pigeon pose or if you’re simply in need of an emotional, stress release, this is the workshop you don’t want to miss.
As we will utilize props, this makes the workshop perfect for beginners and those who have tight hips.

Join me November 18th from 1:30pm – 3:30pm at Ashtanga Yoga Montreal Studio for my Deep Release Hip Opening Workshop where we will learn all about the hips, from how it effects our emotional state to our physical bodies. Diving even deeper by working through a series of poses to help open and unlock the hips creating more movement and flexibility.
First we will flow through a gentle hip opening sequence to really warm up the body before we dive deeper into hip openers where we will spend time breaking down each pose, explore, feel, and release, melting all the tension away making space within the body to flow more freely, emotionally and physically. You will leave feeling relaxed, opened along with the knowledge you learned to apply in your personal practice. By applying what you learned in this workshop to your personal practice you will begin to notice less muscle tension, better posture, increased mobility, flexibility, and stress relief.
