Why Yoga For Athletes?

For Athletes, or anyone who incorporates stretches into their daily lives, it is important to understand how to correctly stretch and for athletes it’s even more important to understand what they need and WHY they need it while keeping their sport in mind. Like every-body, each sport’s needs are different. Although Stretching is great, Yoga is much more, offering correct alignment where you fully reap the benefits of each posture/stretch, finding focus and stability, working with breath moving through each posture allows us to open the body taking in more oxygen, increase energy levels and endurance all while naturally warming the muscles creating and increasing flexibility.

It is important when incorporating Yoga with sports that we meet the needs of each athlete to help increase performance, longevity and overall health not only on the field but off as well.
